If recognised early a great proportion of personal problems can be resolved effectively and with the least disruption to the individual's work and private life.
Here are some early warning signs that might suggest that a friend, loved one or colleague might benefit from counselling.
An obvious level of anxiety or tension
Excessive anger at minor irritations
A fatigued, weary or despondent air
Inability to focus on anything
Hyperactivity, inability to relax or slow down
Lack of care for personal appearance
High level of errors or accidents
Difficulties at work, including absenteeism, lateness or sickness.
